I have finally broken my reading slump all thanks to Melanie Shankles’ hilarious writing.  She has written three books and I raced through two of them! The first book I picked up was Antelope in the Living room which is a memoir on her 16 year marriage and then I immediately bought Sparkling Green Earring which is a memoir on raising her daughter. Now I don’t have any kids nor am I married but her collection of stories had me actually laughing out loud, not to mention that both books are a little over 200 pages so fairly quick reads.

But the absolute best part about both books is that I’ve gotten back into the my reading mood again and have started These Broken Stars by Aimee Kaufman and Meagan Spooner. I’ve heard great things about this story and I’m enjoying it so far.

I do plan to have reviews for both of the books I’ve read along with creating a consistent posting schedule for the blog so I don’t go 30 more days without a new post up. And I plan improving my blog over the next few weeks so you’ll be seeing some changes.
